A plea for participants

Hello,

I posted a similar message a few months ago, but I know the community is always growing so I figured I would give it another try! I’m conducting an interview-based study for my dissertation on the personal and professional effects of practicing MBSR. I need a few more volunteers to complete the study and am very hopeful that they can be found here. Please review the letter below, and if you qualify, then feel free to reach out at any time. Basically, if you have a master’s degree or higher in any of the counseling-based fields and have completed the 8-week MBSR course, or more, then you’d qualify. I’m deeply indebted to all who have/will find time to participate. My contact information is at the bottom of this page.

Hello everyone,

I’m a graduate of the MBSR and TDI classes at Shrewsbury, MA and I’m also currently a doctoral student at Springfield College in the Psy.D Program in Counseling Psychology. To complete the requirements for a doctoral degree I’m in the process of collecting data for my dissertation. The dissertation involves studying the personal and professional effects for mental health clinicians who practice MBSR. To qualify for the study, a participant must be a graduate of the 8-week MBSR class and must have a graduate degree in mental health counseling or social work or have a doctoral degree in psychology. I need 12-15 participants for the study. Participants will not be required to travel, and the face to face, semi-structured interviews should take about an hour and can take place at your convenience. Your support is greatly appreciated. Please use the information below to contact me and participate in a brief phone interview to confirm your inclusion in the study. You can also email me if you’re unsure and would like to ask me a few questions. Second interviews may take place and are completely optional, as will be indicated in the informed consent. I’m truly grateful for all who can participate.

Sincerely,

Jason Corjay
