Can you please tell me if there will be another TDI class after the March program in 2016? If so, is there a date and location?

Yes! There will be future programs, and the dates and details will be
posted on umassmed.edu/cfm/ when they open for registration. If you visit
the website, you can sign up for our email list for notification of
upcoming programs.

Hello Eowyn,

I am also interested in the next TDI. Even though registration is not open yet, could you please let us know the dates and location? Between work, my children, and my teaching schedule, attending an 8-day training will require a lot of shuffling to make happen. The more time I have to plan for it, the more likely it is that I will be able to attend.

Hi Erin,

I understand the challenges, yes! Here is what I know:

There will be a TDI here in Shrewsbury August 24-Sept 1, 2016. Registration opens 3/28/16 and the application deadline is 5/29/16

It’s now been posted on the calender in th Oasis section of our website, which you can find here:

I’m wondering if admission to the TDI program is on a rolling basis or are the applications reviewed and decided on after the application deadline in May? Also I am wondering about the location and cost of accommodations for the August 24th-September 1st TDI in Shrewsbury (I was not able to find this information on-line). Finally I am considering commuting to the TDI in Shrewsbury and am wondering what time the training ends each day?

Thanks for your message and your questions. I have taken them one at a time below, giving answers in italics:

I’m wondering if admission to the TDI program is on a rolling basis or are the applications reviewed and decided on after the application deadline in May?

They are reviewed and decided after the deadline in May.

Also I am wondering about the location and cost of accommodations for the August 24th-September 1st TDI in Shrewsbury (I was not able to find this information on-line).

The special rates that the CFM negotiates with a local hotel will be around $135 a night. More information on the details of this will be coming soon. I will reply again with further details when I have them.

Finally I am considering commuting to the TDI in Shrewsbury and am wondering what time the training ends each day?

This is an intensive course, so you can expect to start early (6 or 7am) and end late (8 or 9pm).

Hi,

I attended the TDI in 2015 and found the “discounted” price of $135 per night to be way too expensive. I coordinated with 3 other participants, found a local house on Airbnb, we rented a car and it cost us about $300 each for the entire time. We each saved close to $1000.
