April 1 - 3, 2016 l ESSENTIAL MINDFULNESS FOR LAWYERS®: AN INTRODUCTORY WORKSHOP at Copper Beech Institute with Judi Cohen and Scott Rogers

This retreat begins on Friday, April 1 at 5 p.m. and concludes on Sunday, April 3 at 1 p.m.
IDEAL FOR: All levels including beginners.

Lawyers are at the front lines of personal, moral, ethical, and cultural battles. Much of our work places us directly in the midst of conflict and hostility. At the same time, being an effective advocate requires composure and clarity, two qualities that can be difficult to maintain in high-stakes, high-stress situations.

This weekend provides an introduction to Essential Mindfulness for Lawyers®, a program created by and for lawyers that teaches the simple, practical tool of mindfulness to increase calm, focus, and resilience, decrease stress and anxiety, and cultivate joy and satisfaction in the practice of law. Through talks, discussions and interactive exercises, you’ll learn basic mindfulness practices to bring into your everyday life to help you excel and stay strong.

This workshop is ideal for lawyers, law students, and paralegals who are new to the mindfulness revolution in the law and for long-time practitioners who wish to be in community with other mindful lawyers. Please join us – for a weekend getaway and practical yet engaging learning experience as together we move mindfulness one step closer to becoming an essential element of our profession.
