Boston, MA Fall 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion Course

Join us at Cambridge Health Alliance Center for Mindfulness and Compassion for our Fall cycle MSC Mindful Self-Compassion Course. MSC is an empirically-supported 8-week program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion, co-developed by Dr. Christopher Germer, a senior advisor of our CHA Center for Mindfulness and Compassion.

Since 2003, over 200 journal articles and dissertations have examined the benefits of self-compassion. Self-compassion facilitates resilience by moderating people’s reactions to negative events.Research indicates that self-compassionate individuals show less extreme reactions, more accepting thoughts, and a greater chance to put their problems into perspective while at the same time acknowledging their own responsibility.
