Hi, Susan. Thank you for reaching out, it’s wonderful to hear that you’re taking the online program and it’s providing some benefit to you. Of course one of the advantages of the in-person program is that you have a community of fellow participants as well as access to a teacher, which isn’t part of the online program. You can always post your questions here on cfmHOME, as a starting point.
There are day long retreats as part of the in-person MBSR and MBCT programs, and I’ve just verified that those who are taking the online MBSR program can attend. You may want to ensure you’ve gotten through at least week six for this to be of the most appropriate timing in your study and practice, and the next sessions are on Saturday, June 4th or Sunday, June 5th, from 8:45am - 4:30pm. There is no need to register, you can simply attend.
Hope that helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions!
I’ve had some additional thoughts to share from one of our senior teachers about the retreat, information which is shared with participants in the in-person program, but isn’t included in the online version.
Guidelines will be given at the beginning, too, about the retreat. Let me know if you have any other questions!
This does help a lot. I will not be able to make the June retreat, but will check to see if there are any others coming up. Is there a telephone # that I can call. This program is so beneficial. I live a long ways and can’t drive myself right now.
