Could someone please share with me how this certification differs from the Oasis pathway for MBSR certification?
Hi, Kara. At it’s core, the pathways have different end results. The Oasis training pathway is a track designed for those interested in becoming Certified MBSR Teachers. The program Fleet has linked is unrelated to the Center for Mindfulness program, and results in a different kind of certification.
As for class content, hours, etc., the web page MBSR Teacher Training on our main site outlines the classes. Basically:
Oasis Institute offers comprehensive, highly-professional training to become a CFM Certified MBSR Teacher, with the opportunity to earn CFM “Qualified Teacher” status after the first three courses (SR-401, SR-402 and SR-403). With completion of all six courses (SR-FLEX, plus SR-401 through SR-405), you will earn CFM MBSR Teacher Certification.
I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have other questions about the Oasis program.
