As such, the latest that we will hear about the acceptance outcome will be no later than 10th Jan 2016 for the Practicum in Ireland (2/22 - 3/2)? I read in the earlier threads that there is a possibility that we will hear from them by the end of this month, at the earliest?

Yes, Eric, right around Jan 10th is that six week goal for Ireland. It is
possible that you will hear sooner, but it is an unknown… it depends on
how the work of processing the applications through the new system unfolds,
which is challenging to predict because it is new. The six weeks before the
program date is the one we have confidence in.

I would like to apply for the 9-day practicum to be held from January 3-12, 2016 in Norwood, MA. I have tried multiple times (both in Explorer and Chrome) to submit my application details on the application page (http://w3.umassmed.edu/CFMOasisRegistration/Application/Form/0) and it is not working. The connexion is lost every time I click on “continue” at the bottom of the page and all of the information I had entered is lost.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is there a trick to this I am missing?

I have been experiencing the exact same problem. I have been trying to apply for the TDI, and all my info get lost when I click continue. Maybe we would have better luck using Safari on a mac. Anyone else have any luck?

Thank you, Maria. I just applied using Safari on a Mac, and it successfully went through, unlike before. Like Leslie mentioned above, it did not work when I tried using Chrome and Explorer on a PC. I never got a screen shot of the error, but I hope this information is helpful for others to know - Safari on a mac was the only way I could get through.

computer!

Maria - thank you for your message. I’ve been swamped and have not had the
time to re-enter my information to re-generate the error message but I
recall the message being “connexion is lost” or something very close to
this. Would this suffice to make the verification in a non-Safari search
engine?

Hello,

When and how will we know if an application for the 9 day practicum has been accepted for the January session in Norwood? I applied using a mac and safari and it went through allowing me to receive confirmation for my application. THANK YOU for that suggestion.

Yes, I too am eager to learn if I have been accepted. I applied 7/21 to the 9 day practicum in Ireland and then saw online that applications were extended to 10/1 and tonight see another extension to 11/1.

Could the staff at Oasis please confirm the timeline for hearing about acceptance to the Practicum in Ireland? (Also, for my peace of mind, please confirm that you have me in the application pile! I submitted it on-line 7/21/2015.) I was scheduled to attend the silent retreat at Shambhala 11/6 thru 11/13. However, my mother-in-law died 11/4. I am now actively looking for another retreat. I have attended two five day silent retreats with Thich Nhat Hanh as stated in my application. Will I be able to attend the Ireland retreat if I am unable to get in another silent retreat before then? Thank you for your attention. Janet

Hi everyone! I have been in correspondence with the CFM office. As many of you, I applied back in July 2015 for the original due date. When I last heard from them, they stated that we would hear by the end of November.

However, in the thread above I saw that someone mentioned end of January 2016? I hope this is not the case. It will be tough to get a ticket! And apply for other opportunities… If I hear more, I will do an update here.
