IDEAL FOR: All levels including beginners

Do you love the feeling you get when you open a journal? Do you hesitate to write that first word? Do inviting covers and luxurious paper cause a reaction? This is the class for you! In this introduction to hand bookbinding, you will create your own journal. You will:

  • Develop the hand skills and become familiar with the everyday tools needed to make a journal
  • Cut, fold and use a simple sewing style all using the most beautiful
    materials
  • Explore how creativity can be a mindful, calming, centering process
  • Take home a unique book you have created and be able replicate the process over and over again

Discover the joyful and fun process of bookbinding! No experience in paper arts or bookbinding necessary. All materials are included. Tuition is $150 plus accommodations. The retreat will include a friday night performance from Marcie and Gordon Swift, with the healing sounds of the Celtic Harp and violin.

This retreat begins Friday, May 6 at 5:00 pm and concludes Saturday, May 7 at 4:00 pm.
