MBSR Retreat on Crete (Greece)
23 - 30 October 2016
(see below for introduction for newcomers to MBSR 17-23 Oct 2016)
For those with prior MBSR experience, an opportunity to refresh and deepen their personal practice.
Daily practice sessions - on the beach and in our seminar room - include sitting and walking meditation, bodyscan, and yoga. Group and individual discussions, and short information sessions round out the day.
A typical day: We begin with standing yoga on the beach. After breakfast on our hotel terrace, we practice bodyscan in the seminar room or a longer walking meditation on the beach. Then there is plenty of time for individual practice, non-doing, swimming, walking on the beach, exploring the area, and relaxing. In the afternoon we get together again and practice yoga on a mat and sitting meditation, and individual and group discussions.

About our location:
The small village of Kalamaki lies far from mass tourism on the south coast of Crete (65 km from the Heraklion airport).
Our friendly, small, and quiet hotel Alonia – all rooms with balcony, showers/WC, refrigerator, A/C – is situated approx. 70m from the village beach and boardwalk with its tavernas and cafés. The sandy beach continues to the south for about 3 km (clothing is very optional in this section) to Kommos (with an archaeological site). The picturesque villages of Kamilari and Pitsidia are within walking distance, (approx. 30-45 min.)
