Hi, I’m interested in getting started in MBSR, and live in Colorado Springs. I’ve seen information on Denver resources, but wondered if anyone here knows of good programs or teachers closer to me. Or is my best bet doing the online course through Sounds True? Thanks very much.
Kirk - When you hear from anyone regarding your question, could you also let me know? I live in Manitou Springs, and teach yoga and mindfulness practices via Sunwater Spa … but am also interested in knowing if there is a MBSR network in the area. Thanks so much,
Renee
Hi, Renee. Absolutely, if/when I hear something back, I will let you know.
Enjoy your weekend,
Kirk
Thanks so much, Kirk. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
HI,
I am currently working on finishing up
Tier 1 of the requirements for MBSR. It is an involved, lengthy and expensive process and well worth it. For more info go to the Center for Mindfulness website and you will find out what you need to do. As far as I know there are no qualified MBSR teachers from the Center of Mindfulness in the Colorado Springs area. The closest person is located in Denver/Boulder area. There are individuals in the state of Colorado who are working on becoming certified.

Hi,
Forgot to mention I live in Colorado Springs and will be offering an Introductory Mindfulness Program based on the elements of what an actual MBSR class would be like: relaying information, experiential learning, the teacher’s emobodied practice, and the opportunity for group sharing and wisdom to be brought forth. These classes will start in January 2016. If you would like to be on the email list please contact me at s_wright_56@q.com.

Hello sue,
I suggest your best option is to take my live, online MBSR. It is recognized by CFM to meet your requirement for participating in an MBSR program
Dear Kirk,
My next 8 week series begins on Weds, Jan 20 at 4:00 pm ET
The CFM will be offering it’s 5-Day Mindfuness Tools program at the Westin Snowmass Village from May 22-27.
Registration link should be live next week: http://umassmed.edu/cfm/stress-reduction/mindfulness-tools/
Thanks, Tony, and to all those who replied. This helps a lot.
Hi Kirk -
Thanks so much for your recent email. (I’m replying to you here because I don’t have your email address.)
I do (now) remember your name from the work at the COS Indy … it would fun to connect again … possibly in 2016?
Have a wonderful holiday season!
Renee
