Oxford: Free MBCT Practice including Deepen your practice available - useful for MBSR graduates

Hi all,

I was wishing for an app that would help and support MBSR graduates continue their practice beyond the eight weeks. Well, Oxford University has one for MBCT. The “Deepen your practice” web page is here: http://mbctapp.oxfordmindfulness.org/practices/deepenpractice/, and a lot of these practices are relevant to MBSR graduates as well.

Best of all, the 8-week MBCT course and “Deepen your practice” are free, and a free app is available for your phone - search for “Oxford MBCT” in the app store (I know there are 500+ mindfulness apps out there, but give this one a try)
Home page: http://mbctapp.oxfordmindfulness.org/users/dashboard. It is relevant for folks who are taking the course right now, or have taken it in the past.

“…to help participants with the home practice element of their Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy course.”

Enjoy!

Hi Khare,

Thank you for sharing this information with us.

This App is indeed a GREAT ressource.

Odile.

Khare,

This is a wonderful site for current and former participants of MBSR. Many of the practices are in sync with the heart of MBSR practices.

I’m glad I found it. I use it every day.

Thanks,
Khare

Hi all,

The Oxford MBCT app no longer comes up on a search in the app store. I’ve emailed Oxford Mindfulness Center and asked them what happened.

In the meantime, you may sign up for free, and use their website that has all the MBCT practices + Deeping Practices: http://mbctapp.oxfordmindfulness.org/.

Thanks,
Khare

Oxford Mindfulness Centre emailed me back: “We are having a temporary glitch with the app presently but rest assured this is temporary and it will be available soon”.

Thanks,
Khare
