Question about Video in Orientation -- teacher certification

Hello, In prep for submitting my materials for Teacher Certification, I am fine-tuning my orientation notes. I have used Bill Moyers video from 1992, but most recently, I used these 2, more up-to-date videos. Is that acceptable? Please see below signature (total time is about 11 minutes). Thank you, Terre

  1. Show
4-minute video with Oprah where she tells a bit about MBSR and Jon and he talks
about living and resting in the body. And touches on formal/informal meditation

  2. RE Science, definition, discussion of mindfulness
and discipline required, show 7-minute video: Jon Kabat-Zinn on Mindfulness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EU7vKitN4Ro

Hi Terre,

What a great way to make the connection to the larger field of interest in
these practices. Assuming you don’t bump anything out of the main
orientation cirriculum to make space for these, they seem wonderful to
include.

Kind regards,
Eowyn

Thank you for your response, Eowyn.

I have replaced the Bill Moyers video with these 2 videos – they’re more
modern, shorter in length, and convey the same information. This still
leaves time for everything else in the orientation (less Bill Moyers).

Thank you, Terre
