Ride share: March 2018 PTI, Earthrise IONS: SFO airport transfer

Looking for folks who want to share transportation from SFO to Petaluma (and back) for the March 2018 PTI,

We don’t have to reinvent the wheel. Previous cohorts have worked out the logistics we just have to agree to. Suggestions welcome. View 2017’s conversation outcome from the link below.

Apparently, each shuttle can take 9-11 people. That can average out to $30-$40 person one-way. For US-based folks, will need your help to coordinate with the ground transport provider, since you will be on the same timezone.

I would love to share a ride as well! My flight will arrive in the morning on Mar.2 so 12pm departure works well for me but 2pm is also fine if needed (depending on numbers as others join the conversation). It would be great to catch a shuttle on Mar.10 back to the airport as well.

Hi everyone,

So here’s what we have so far. I’ve updated my place to Van 1 since I’ve managed to work out my 15-hour flight from Singapore :-)

If anyone else want to join in sharing a ride for the March PTI, please copy the full list and add your name to them. If one van is full, we’ll just get another van and split the load and costs :-)

Still looking for a US-based PTI participant to volunteer to contact one of the 2 shuttle bus providers. If you can be that person, let this group know. Much appreciated.

Alessia, take note that the proposed time for Van 1 SFO to Petaluma is 12pm, not 12am as you had typed. Where we meet will depend on the van operator we finally arrange. Those details later.

We haven’t locked any timing yet. Based on last year’s cohort, they organised 2 shuttles, so I suggest you put your name on the 2pm list first? We can adjust timing as more folks confirm their flights.

I’ll arrive 7:30am. Stephanie & Allesia will also arrive in the morning, although I don’t know their timing. Stephanie? Allesia? Christy is looking for a 2pm sharing.

Depending on the final list (I’m surprised so little have responded), we can figure sharing a taxi or shuttle, the timing and how many runs. We can only check into IONS from 4pm onwards.

Latest list of names for airport transfer to/from Earthrise IONS for our PTI next month.

I’m surprised by the low numbers compared to last year’s cohort, where they got 9 persons per van (2 vans heading to Petaluma). Hopefully the numbers pick up in the next 2 weeks.

Any US resident volunteer?
As per my original note, we’ll need a US resident to help contact either of the 2 shuttle companies (Western Eagle or SuperShuttle) to make final arrangements nearer the date. I’m based in Singapore with a 16-hour time difference.
