Does East Coast Insight (Vipassana) Meditation Retreat_ (7 days) August 21 – 28, 2016 (Sunday to Sunday) at Dharma Drum Retreat Center, Pine Bush, NY fulfill a silent retreat requirement for continuing on the MBSR training pathway?

Thanks for your inquiry.
It sounds like it. I am assuming from the descritpion that it is both
silent and led by a teacher when I say yes.
You can easily determine this for yourself, with this or any other retreat
you are thinking of attending, by checking:
Is mindfulness the main practice involved?
Is it a silent retreat?
Is it a minimum of five or seven days long? (This depends on which
requirement you are intending to complete - you need two of each to
complete the pathway.)
Is it led by a teacher?

Also, as you will see on the page above, there are now MBSR retreats,
co-sponsored by the CFM. These are listed first. The centers listed below
that are those that we know to offer at least some retreats that fulfil the
above requirements, but these organizations aren’t associated with the CFM.
And there are other centers and retreats, like the one you mentioned, that
may have qualifying retreats. It is up to each trainee to follow the above
guidelines.

I´m looking for an appropriate silent retreat in Spain.

Hi Alina,
Thanks for your inquiry. No, that organization’s retreats do not qualify -
despite the similar name their work is quite different from that of the CFM.
We just added a qualifying retreat in Italy next January. Perhaps that
could work?
