Financial Agreement

For the MBSR class what kind of pricing structure do you have? What is your financial agreement and refund policy? Do you pro-rate refunds based on the number of classes missed? I am happy to refund to anyone who is unsatisfied with the class, however I am wondering how to honor the financial stability of the program and when I give refunds to folks who did not properly plan or were not committed to the class. Any feedback on how you deal with these issues is welcome as we are growing at the Charlotte Center for Mindfulness.

Hi Jude,

Just reflecting on your post. Here is how I handle refunds for MBSR and other programmes. I will offer refunds to people if they cancel before the programme commences. However once the programme commences I will not offer any refunds for classes missed or if someone decides not to continue with the programme. I go through the commitment involved and class dates in the orientation phone call so people have an understanding of whats involved.
However if something unexpected comes up for someone they are welcome to transfer to another programme at no extra cost.

Although these are my guidelines I do show some flexiblity when I feel it is called for.
